Fun fact: in physics, since anything that moves is taken from a reference frame, you can not actually prove that the sun doesnt rotate around the earth, the moon around us, and the planets around the sun. Let me explain this in greater detail for those who might not understand.

Imagine that nothing in the universe exists except you (no air, nothing, but you can breathe). Now, you are moving 5m/s forwards. But are you? there is no way to know, since you cant reference it to something else.

Now, imagine there is you, and an object (like a rock). You are now moving 5m/s towards the rock. But, how do we know its not you that is stationary, and the rock is moving? We dont.

Now, there is you, the first object, and now, there is a second object. the first object (O1) is moving towards you at 5m/s, while you are completely stationary, using the second object (O2) as a point of reference. But, how can we prove that what is really happening is that you, and O2 are moving towards O1 at 5m/s. Physics says there is no difference, the only difference is the way you perceive it.

Now, you can continue to add objects to the 'system', and nothing will change. It is all on how you perceive it. These perceptions are called Reference Frames. a RF is what you choose to be a stationary object, and what you are comparing it to.

This same idea can be applied to the sun rotating around the earth. Now for those of you taht disagree, these are facts of physics, and yes, you can prove it by aligning all the stars planets in this earth centered theory to the stars and planets of sun centered theory. It all works out.

What this all boils down to then, is philosophy and personal preference.
